Doggy Hydro Bath

Hydro Baths

A professional warm hydrobath is a great way to keep your dog’s skin and coat healthy and of course looking good and smelling fresh.

The hydro spray nozzle promotes a healthy shiny coat by stimulating the skin and removing all dirt and loose hair. It also provides a therapeutic massage that promotes better blood circulation, relieving those tired muscles and joints, especially good for our older arthritic citizens.

A hydrobath is also a great way to manage skin disorders such as dry skin, yeast infection, dog dandruff, dog mange, flea treatment, excessive shedding and excessive itching. For dogs with specific skin conditions such as those listed above, bathing may be part of their medical treatment plan as recommended by your vet.

Even if you don’t know why your dog is itching, many of these conditions can be prevented or treated by using a good quality mild and gentle hypoallergenic herbal shampoo and or product/treatment added to the hydrobath wash tank.

For dogs with healthy skin and a healthy coat, the most common reason to have a bath is to remove an unpleasant odour or because they have accumulated dirt on their coat.

How often to have a hydrobath will depend on each individual dog and their particular needs, dogs should only be bathed when necessary.

If dogs are washed too frequently this can dry out the skin and coat as the natural oils on the skin have been stripped away and not given enough time to replenish, this could lead to skin problems down the track.

I like to hydrobath my pups every two weeks, they are active, outdoorsy, love to swim and roll around in the dirt at every opportunity = stinky pups after two weeks
